How can we preserve and convey the authentic stories of exiles to the modern person? This question became a challenge for the Lithuanian Ethnographic Museum, which sought to find new ways to engage today's audience with the stories that have shaped the memory of our nation. Especially when it comes to such special and moving narratives, like the exile story of Irena Saulutė Špakauskienė.
Unfuzz responded to this GovTech Lithuania challenge by creating two innovative solutions – a mobile guide and an augmented reality application, which together allow visitors to experience Irena Saulutė Špakauskienė's exile stories in a new, immersive, and contemporary way.
Project R E S U L T S:
🔶 The mobile guide is a convenient application that provides visitors with the opportunity to listen to narrated stories, choose their preferred language, and, most importantly, adapt this technology for other exhibitions. The guide ensures that each visitor can immerse themselves in the story according to their needs, comfortably using their mobile device.
🔶 The augmented reality experience is a unique technology that allows scanning a specific image and entering a virtual yurt space, which recreates the atmosphere of exile through visual imagery and sounds. This AR experience allows the visitor to experience the story firsthand, as if they themselves were part of it.
The technologies used, such as React Native (for the mobile application) and Unreal Engine 5 (for the augmented reality content), ensure smooth and high-quality performance. This allows achieving the highest technical level, enabling visitors to immerse themselves more deeply in the stories without leaving the museum space.

The project focuses on people aged 50 and over, with a special focus on seniors who, for various reasons, have limited access to cultural experiences. The aim is not only to enable these groups to participate more actively in cultural life, but also to ensure that educators in the cultural sector acquire the necessary knowledge and skills that allow a better understanding of the needs and expectations of this audience.
In collaboration with the Lithuanian Ethnographic Museum, Unfuzz has created innovative solutions that allow modern audiences to experience the authentic stories of exiles.
